2012 Round the Rock Photos

High winds made the 2012 Round the Rock SUP race a grueling paddle for many who endured the 13 mile circumnavigation of Mercer Island near Seattle.

It was my first race and I have to say it was pretty epic. Easily on par with with running a mountain marathon. There were 25 DNFs out of 156 starters. Ouch. I did (barely) manage to finish on my homemade plywood board which was pretty sweet.

Congats on a successful finish for your first RTR. It is a grueling race and there's always an upwind section, usually for a few miles. Sweet plywood board! rc
